Betty broke down first night on the town....no car meet AGAIN

Well I went out to eat with a friend straight from carter after betty's tune. shes running 380 HP 383 lb ft... and shes running strong and fun. We come back out from eating and I figure it was kinda weird when I cranked her and she took several seconds to start...but she ran fine and we stopped at a gas station literally like 2 blocks away...the gauges act funny...the tach wont drop below like 1800 no matter what the motor is doing..the battery meter is reading nothing...the temp is doing nothing abnormal....yet.

She start idling really crappy...I have to rev her to keep her awake...and I knew shit was about to hit the fan. I got out of there as fast as I could to keep her going...revving her every time I have to stop...I get her going off of a light right after the gas station and pull through 1st and 2nd real fast...and look down to see the gauges completely dim and the headlights off. I pull over into an old bank parking lot in the fucking hood and let her idle. Takes her about 10 seconds to crap out.

went to turn her over and just heard the starter rapidly clicking. So I call usaa road side assistance just KNOWING this is gonna be some extensive bull crap mickey is gonna have to figure out. and they quote us 45 mins.

Only takes 15 mins for the cops to roll up in two squad cars and interrogate us and search us AND my car, telling us you cant be white in the hood without being there to buy drugs. So the one sgt starts accusing battle of walking into the PJ's then back over to the car. Of course they dont find shit. The cop asks me whats going on...I said "well sir I started having electrical problems and--- 'ya ya ya thats a nice story but uhhhh, (looking at battle) I KNOW I saw you walk into the PJs and back over here..'" anyways they dont find anything of course and go away.

Truck driver shows up after a bit and says....yep this truck wont do it gotta get another..and comes back in like iono, 20-30 mins. This truck does the trick but BARELY...I could hear my tips scraping a little as she went on and he had to soap the bed to keep my skirting from breaking.

We get her to carter and unload her beautifully...and here I am now, Harassed by cops and without my fucking camaro AGAIN...I looked straight at Betty and scolded her. She is always such a cock tease.

Well now lets see what the future holds...

Temp read 260 after she crapped out not 2 mins later...(gauge max)

The fucking cop slammed my electric hatch like it was a trunk.

Hey starlet I wonder if its just a fuse or relay but idk...she was cranking like she almost didnt wanna start but when i flicked the AC thats when she dropped like 600rpms....if i didnt snatch it right back off she woulda died right there.

with all that work they were doing mickey forgot to hook the alternator wire up because he had it running off a battery charger while she was in the shop...

Oh yeah lol, and I got a cool nickname....I like nemesis but a friend called me the dark knight . pretty awesome lol I turned a bunch of heads and had crowds around my car. got a few challenges and people trying to sell me stuff but I brushed it all off. I showed a thirdgen friend a 1-3 rip and had my clutch smoking so uh.....not a good idea ....im gonna grandpa her now for the first few tanks of gas.

new diff and gears monday and get her back tuesday...and then break in period starts all over again. bah. when she settles in I will give a few rides but fuck buying another $400 clutch. As I want to be part of raceline I will not condone any street racing.

One guy told me my custom airbox looked like a toilet and he wanted to shit in it. rofl.

Then some cop started poking his nose around because of all the dumb asses driving out of the lot fast and squeeling tires in and out of the lot. I hate to say it but perhaps this spot isnt going to be the best to meet at for long. the more popular it gets the more assholes flock to it. In fact im going to make another post about that now.
