ok here is what i have found i can go with 12 psi boost with changing nothing except the map in the ecu. if i lower the compretion and get bigger injectors i can go up to 20 psi. and if i go with lower compretion and find an alum. intake i can go upto 30 psi. so ok guys what do i do..... drunken

20 psi will cost about 1000.00
30 psi i cant find an alum. intake that will fit under the hood. maybe someone else can find it.

anyway it will be boosted by twins but to get to the magic 1000hp i need to be at 20psi or i fall short with 10 psi at 800hp
let me know what you all think confused

If you are gonna do the AWD setup then you might as well go big or go home and get the intake manifolds and go for 1000hp Twisted Evil

I would do the AWD setup before I think about boosting to 1000hp, you will be a
-10 sec 1/4mile with awd and 1000hp, so lets worry bout getting the power to the ground then you can frankenstien the engine. lol

ok well here is what i got the tranfer box will bolt right up might have to widen the drive tunnel. drive shaft for rear just will need shortend (no big deal) and one for fround just made (once again no big deal). here is the trick frount diff. have to get it in there. good news is that the gears in it are the same as in the back of the vette...3.42. so the only real hard thing i am going to have is getting in the frount diff.

calling all crazy car guys to put it in....lol affraid

now as far as price found brand new tranzfer box 500
as far as frount diff 500 again

so looking at 1000 plus drive shafts and i am sure i will have to have custom brackets made to put in the frount end.

well once you get the front diff mounted and you can shorten an existing drive shaft at a machine shop for cheap so you can save a few bucks there.
now for the same gear ratio as long as your tire DIAMETER is the same front and rear you are good. some have slightly smaller front tires up front so a crazy mathematic equation would have to be in place to find out what the ratio should be....just a thought

    I've got a few questions.

1 how much hp will the extra diff and transfer case pull off the engine?

2 will the hubs have a clutch to allow the faster outside front wheel to freewheel or will the diff have to handle it?

3 how much does all the extra parts weigh?

I don't mean to sound like I'm against your project, I'm just concerned what weight does to power. I started to go with a quick change rear until a buddy that races round track told me how much extra hp they pull.

well a front diff will take some power away BUT if you cant get the power to the ground power is useless like my ranger will be faster if with 4wd beacuse it will allow me to hook up from the get go.
