Atlanta Speedway....friday nights ;)

Hey we all know that ATL is kinda far but was thinking if we ever got a saturday show up that way then we could stay near the speedway the night before and have a little fun here.........

A few boosted Tercels from my other forums race up there. They say it's a lot of fun but it's not an organized event. No time boards nor tickets. Just line up and run. Here's a quote from somebody that went.

I must agree with GA NOOB. It was the same way at HIN/NOPI. It was very unorganized and they require a helmet on an 1/8 mile track. I honestly think that is lame and the track is too short. Going to Rockingham, NC would be a much better event. You don't need a helmet unless you are 12seconds or better and its a quarter mile track with launch tree, time boards and time slips. Pinks All Out on speed channel race there. So we would have a blast if we all went there for some quarter mile fun. This is all a dream now for me since my engine seized up. I really didn't think bad gas and/or diesel could do that to an engine. Some how the gas that was put in my car seems to have caused my oil pump to work improperly and oil wasn't getting to my number 1 piston. When I removed the valve cover crystalized oil was all around valve one while the other 3 valves was nice and wet with oil. How could this have happened. Now Im in need of an engine and don't know where to go.

Yeah a 1/4 would be alot better then a 1/8.....hey when you get your new 2az Mike look at getting a upgraded oil pump as well have heard this issue before with stock toyota engines of the pump being too inadequate for modded engines esp boosted ones....Circuit worx makes some for the 1zz and 2zz but not sure if they do for the 2az

There is a track called Atlanta Dragway or something like that about 50 miles north east of Atlanta that I have run 1/4 mile passes on with tree and time boards.

Man i wish road coarses were as easy access as drag strips

I think NC has a road course.. Don't quote me on it, but it may be a few hours drive. I can't remember where exactly. As a kid my dad's friends would talk about it.. It may have been just a place they would drive.

We have a local road track, it's a 1/4 mile dragstrip we need.

yeah idk why they would think having a track here is a bad idea but it is def what everyone needs

the Track is in Mooresville NC it is a drifting Course.. I am still looking and asking some friends of mine in clubs in the area as to more info for road courses.
