Re: Dominating Savannah
He's the owner of a heffner built twin turbo viper with around 1700hp that lives on Skidaway Island. Several of the lambos in his stories are also here. Domination is a large bill to fill here.....

Re: Dominating Savannah
When we say DOMINATING SAVANNAH. We are talking about from a Car Club stand point. Not that we have the fastest cars. Once Andy's twin turbo's get fully installed and tuned on his Vette he will be over a grand in whp and will be able to run that Viper.Vettes handle a hell of a lot better than a Viper. They are much lighter in weight to a Viper as well so that will also play a very big part. Would be a great race to see. It would come down to the drivers.

Re: Dominating Savannah
it would have to be a road course for that one but havent seen him anywhere witch mean one of two things ...one he dont drive it...or two it is a traler trophy i am thinking bolth 1700 whp is by no means streetable sorry like to enjoy my ride hence the two tunes i will be getting done one for street and one for fun...lol even 1000 is not streetable in a realistic aspect but like you said gve me 100 grand and we will see where he sits in comparison

Re: Dominating Savannah
Since he lives on Skidaway Island we get to see the car pass our shop on occasion. He rents Roebling Road for private race/tuning events. And the 1700hp was a few years ago. I know he's had or has 3 Vipers. Look him up. He's very friendly and loves to talk racing. That is his real name also. He's got a ton of videos that aren't online anymore but if requested he'll post links to them.
There was a story on his site once where a guy built a turbo busa and started tell'n people he was set to race Gary. Gary heard and found out where the guy was hangin out. Drove the blue Viper over (1200hp) and went inside the bar. Foiund the guy and let him tell his story about the race setup, then asked to see the bike. They walk out and the Viper is parked next to it. Dude's jaw drops. Following week they're at Roebling where Gary hands him his backside every way they raced except the first 60' from a dead stop. The guy with the bike was cool though and let Gary post pics up of him and the bike with vids.
He's not the common jerk with an exotic car, good people.

I totally understand and I'm not trying to stir up stuff. I'm on a lower budget than y'all are and prolly with higher bills. It may take a while before I can have TAZ and I know TAZ won't be the fastest thing on the planet, but the average person will need a $100,000 car to run what I will in a $12,000 Toyota.
Trust me it makes me drool when Kurai and reborn post their latest purchases!!!!

Re: Dominating Savannah
Hey Star..this wouldn't happen to be our mystery guest on the forum would it..fasterthanyou... Either way I wouldn't care..but I have seen the lambo many times on the islands(I lived on Wilmington). Love the rides though..So what if it's out of our budget..the point is the love of car's and tuning..we all have the tuner bug and that's what it's all about.

Re: Dominating Savannah
Nope, that's not him. Gary doesn't go about things in such a manner. He's very polite and withdrawn. The noob on the forum has a street/strip car that runs quite well in it's field. Gary's car isn't setup for drag and has major off line traction issues due to that but does quite well after the third digit pops up on the speedo. From 100-160 Gary's car has almost the same pull as a modded Evo does from a dig.
On the other side Gary was basically raised with a silver spoon in mouth where fasterthanyou has made everything by his own sweat. Doing that changes the outlook of most people. It brings out a pride and mixed with testosterone can make a person seem rude while showing their accomplishments. I know once TAZ is up I'll be a major asshole in a lot of people's eyes but in reality I'll still be Bill.

Re: Dominating Savannah
I myself have seen the Saleen with my own eyes at the corner of 204 and 95 near the McDonalds. I was told he owns the Harley shop behind Hooters and his girlfriend drives the yellow Lambo that he bought for her. The Saleen is silver in color and an absolute beauty to the eyes. It looks like a streetable Indy car. A pure work of art. I so wanted to follow him and ask for pics but me trying to keep up with that would be like wild-e-coyote trying to keep up with the road runner. Plus im in a Toyota Camry. I wouldnt even want my car near his 100k+ ride. Just like Larry's CL65 AMG V12 Renntech Twin Turbo. I felt small parking next to that. But Larry is also good people.

Re: Dominating Savannah
Be it Gary or fasterthenyou I can respect the love. We all got in the scene for our love of automobiles and their like...be it with silver spoons or sweat and blood we all dedicated some part of ourselves to what we love. Like all of us here in the club we are not rich or even close we just work hard and make the best of what we got. If I had the Gary cash I'd be rolling in a set of nice exotic cars as well.
I hope we get to run into this guy one day, seems like he would be cool ppl. You guys know me Im pretty easy going and easy to get along with, as I'd like to think most of us are idc what you drive really import domestic sport compact or muscle in the end its all about the love.
