noob in Savannah
Just found out about this site/forum. Lots of people in the area call me little b or Tercel GTS. I drive the now all banged up 93 Tercel that was turbo until about two months ago. It soon will be replaced with a 92 Paseo for a daily driver with a 5efte. So how many are from Savannah and nearby?

Thanks for the welcomes. No this Paseo is/was blue. It will be boosted though. T25 on a 5efe with management. Looking for 200fwhp, nothing special. The Starlet will be a lot meaner.

Re: noob in Savannah
Kurai asked what skills I have so I'm going to list some here.
machinist
fabricating
soldering - specialist
wiring
welding - somewhat
tuning - somewhat
engine rebuilding
suspension
brakes
fuel systems
ignition
carb rebuild
alternator/starter build - custom applictions
stereo install
general mechanics
turbo rebuild
can rebuild almost anything on a car that can bought rebuilt
I have access to accounts at parts suppliers, salvage yards, electrical suppliers, turbo parts and other various supplies places.
Outside of car life
house/commercial wiring
plumbing
concrete
All that but one thing I can NOT do is drive a nail. If you look at my garage at home you'll find bolts and screws but no nails other than roof.

I'm working online to get another 4efte to swap in the Paseo instead of doing the 5efe. The Starlet is just on hold until the Paseo is running. Money is tight and nobody in my house is working but me.

Re: noob in Savannah
Honestly I'd recommend Gene Hughes for the transmission and rear diff work.

Re: noob in Savannah
Gene has a shop on hwy 80, he's a Ford man by choice but works on anything. He owns all in automatics or manual plus third members.
I do very well with thick metal welding such as chassis. Stick is my specialty and some mig. I want a tig setup and a plasma cutter but money holds me back. I am however looking to get an aluminum welding outfit this year.

Re: noob in Savannah
Well the tranny and rest of the mechanics will wait till 2012, but the chassis work and stuff will happen after i get back early 2011. Let me know if you want some welding work man it has to get done and will get done...maybe we can work out a deal or something.
How much that equipment cost that you are after? Maybe I can just buy it for you as payment.

Re: noob in Savannah
Hell yeah we can work on a deal like that. I don't need new equipment but am looking for quality like miller or hobart. What all are you going to need done? I know engine/transmission mounts and brackets plus the rear axle setup and prolly a cage.
